Air Tamarack does residential mold and indoor air quality investigations. We have 2 basic types of investigation.

A Phase I investigation is designed to determine if a home has a mold or indoor air quality problem. It includes up to 2 hours on-site, with a visual investigation both indoors and outdoors. 3 fungal samples are collected and analyzed by an American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) certified analyst. Temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide are measured. Air quality aspects of the heating and cooling system are reviewed. Two copies of a written report are mailed approximately 1 month after the on-site investigation. ½ hour phone consulting regarding the report is included as a part of this package.

A Phase II investigation is performed at homes where it is already known that there is a serious mold problem. This is a very comprehensive, logical, methodical investigation designed to determine the types of mold, the extent of mold infestation and contamination, and the causes of the fungal problems. This investigation is recommended for houses that are going into litigation or for homeowners that cannot litigate and want to improve the air quality in their home. Wall design is determined for above grade, below grade and rim joist construction. Drainage planes and other fungal related structural issues are investigated. Fungal airborne, settled dust, and bulk samples are collected and analyzed by an AIHA certified analyst. Other areas of concern are investigated, depending on the situation. This investigation takes 2 persons approximately 4 - 6 hours on site to complete. Two copies of a written report are mailed approximately 1 month after the on-site investigation.
