Indoor Air
Quality Courses
- Engineering Modifications
of HVAC Systems for Control of Microbial Contamination
Covers the cause of microbial contamination in the heating, ventilation
and air conditioning system. Training is provided on the modifications
to the HVAC system necessary to prevent microbial contamination.

Provides training on microbial testing procedures and how to interpret
the results of microbial testing. Case studies are discusses. 2

- Indoor Air Quality Concerns
I -Sick Building Syndrome, What Can You Do About It? Provides
training for building maintenance staff on preventing common indoor
air quality problems in commercial office buildings and schools.

- Indoor Air Quality Concerns
II- Sick Building Syndrome, What Can You Do About It? Provides
office occupants with information about common indoor air quality
concerns and what causes them. Allowing 15 minutes for questions,
the course is 1 hour.
- Indoor Air Quality - A Proactive
Approach Provides training on what is indoor air quality
and how to measure indoor air quality. Common causes of indoor air
quality concerns. How to handle indoor air quality concerns. Provides
training on preventing common indoor air quality problems in commercial
office buildings and schools. Indoor air quality case studies are

- Confined Space Awareness
For supervisors of workers who enter confined spaces. 45 minutes
- Confined Space Training
For Workers who enter confined spaces. Includes right to know training
on the most common hazards in confined spaces. Training on how to
operate, zero and field calibrate toxic gas monitors and detector
tube pumps. Most common types of confined space entry procedures
are covered. 2 hours

- Noise and Hearing Conservation
Covers worker right to know training on noise. Ideal training for
workers in high noise environments. Training is provided on the
wearing of hearing protection, measuring of noise levels, and understanding
the purpose of hearing tests. 45 minutes
- Silica Awareness Training
Covers worker right to know training on silica. Ideal for maintenance
workers who work with concrete, sand blasting, foundries, and other
occupations that work with sand and other silica containing materials.

- Asbestos Awareness Training
Covers worker right to know training on asbestos. Ideal for maintenance
workers, janitorial staff, and building occupants who work around
asbestos containing materials. The course is primarily designed
to train non-asbestos workers not to become asbestos workers. Designed
to meet the Asbestos Awareness Training requirements of the OSHA
Asbestos Standard. 2 hours
- Negative Pressure Half and
Full Face Respirator Training Covers worker right to know
training on negative pressure respirators. Training is provided
on the wearing of respirators, purpose of respirators, different
types of air filtration devices, negative and positive fit testing,
and fit testing of workers using a test agent. 1 hour

- Cumulative Trauma Injury Prevention
for Physical Types of Occupations Learn about the causes

Renewal Course.
This course offers builders and remodelers eight hours of required
instruction. The one-hour of required energy code instruction is
also included. One-hour of required instruction on lead abatement
and safe lead abatement procedures will be available to newly licensed
contractors.
